One of the great things about working as part of our team is that it offers a wide range of career opportunities. No matter you’re your background and qualifications you have, there are is usually a job you can undertake.

Nursing focuses on administering nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients. The roles within the Nursing family are organized into seven broad specialists’ areas:
  • Adult nursing: primarily concerned with nursing sick and injured adults back to health in both hospital and community settings.
  • Children nursing: caring for sick children and providing support to their families. Mental health nursing: caring for people with mental health problems in hospitals and in the community, helping patients to overcome their ill health, or to come to terms with it, so they can lead as normal a life as possible. Learning disability nursing: working with people with learning disabilities to help them become as independent as possible.
  • Midwifery: Midwives can work in the community, in hospitals or both. Their role goes much further than delivering babies; they're involved in antenatal and postnatal care, in counseling, in offering support and education, and in helping mothers and their partners prepare for parenthood.
  • Health visitors: expected to promote health including mental, physical and social well-being in the community. They do this by giving practical help and advice to the whole family.
  • Nursing assistants: working with nurses and other healthcare professionals, helping with treatment and looking after patients' comfort and well being.
